Show Summary Details

Preview

Myasthenic disorders are diffuse diseases of the motor unit associated with impaired neuromuscular transmission. Accurate diagnosis of these and other peripheral nervous system diseases is based on clinical evaluation as well as electrodiagnostic and serologic studies. On occasion, more sophisticated investigation with in vitro microelectrode recordings, morphologic studies, or genetic testing is required to make a specific diagnosis.
