♦ Culturally respectful palliative social work practice for Chinese patients empowers and supports them and their families in ways they consider appropriate. A practice model called SET & GO, which contains the themes of surviving the stress of impending death, empowering individuals, transforming the experience of loss into personal and spiritual growth, and setting goals in life for bereaved people to go on with life, is proposed.
