This section looks at the most common skin disorders men can encounter and approaches each problem from a balanced whole body system approach. Using the classic paradigm, dermatologic patterns are recognized followed by a brief history and skin exam. The clinical diagnosis once established whether primarily or through further labs or biopsy testing is then treated using conventional meds, diet nutrition, homeopathy, TCM and/ or herbal modalities. Specific acupuncture points are discussed. Each condition is listed in alphabetical order for ease of lookup by the reader. For each aliment, the conventional modalities are followed by a list of appropriate holistic modalities to be considered for integration in patient care.
