Show Summary Details

Quick Reference

The tendency of an interviewee to agree with the questioner. For example, if the question is ‘Did you vote in the last election?’ then the number replying ‘Yes’ is likely to provide an overestimate of the proportion who voted. On the other hand, if the question had been ‘Did you abstain in the last election?’, then this would also be likely to provide an overestimate.
