Modern dance work in one act with choreography by P. Taylor, music by Handel, design by Gene Moore, and lighting by Tipton. Premiered 30 May 1978 at City Center, New York, by the Paul Taylor Dance Company. Its exuberant mix of classical and modern dance, combined with a courtly elegance of manner, brought it international popularity and it entered the repertory of many companies, including Rambert (1982).
