Show Summary Details

Quick Reference

A device composed of two pipes, one inside the other. Air is blown down the inner pipe, which is slightly shorter than the outer pipe. The result of this is to push an air–water mixture up the gap between the two pipes. This is a useful pump for obtaining samples from very small diameter boreholes.
