A theologian of the southern (Teṉkalai) school of Viśiṣṭādvaita Śrī Vaiṣṇavism. The younger brother and pupil of Piḷḷai Lokācārya, he was the author of a number of exegetical works, including a detailed commentary on the Tiruppāvai (‘Sacred Lady’) of Āṇṭāḷ.
