(orig. Dutch title De anatomische les)
Ballet in one act with choreography by Tetley, music by Marcel Landowsky, and design by Nicolaas Wijnberg. Premiered 28 Jan. 1964 by Nederlands Dans Theater at the Hague, with Flier. It is based on Rembrandt's painting The Anatomy Lesson of Dr Tulp and contrasts the inner life and passions of the man laid out on the table with the coldly scientific context in which he has been placed after death.
