Modern dance work in one act with choreography by Bruce, music by G. Crumb, and design by Baylis. Premiered 7 Jul. 1975 by Ballet Rambert at Sadler's Wells Theatre, London. This setting of Crumb's song-cycle of poems by Lorca portrays a group of ragged children playing games of love and death. Other settings of Crumb's score include J. Stripling (Stuttgart, 1971), Butler (Ballet du Rhin, 1972), Tetley (Utah Repertory Theater, 1973), and Reiter-Soffer (in Yerma, Irish Ballet, 1976).
