Swedish dancer and actor. She studied at the Royal Swedish Ballet School and joined the company in 1948, becoming ballerina in 1958. She created roles in several ballets, such as Tudor's Echoing of Trumpets, and guested with several companies, including National Ballet of Canada and London Festival Ballet as well as acting in films. She retired from the stage in 1976 but continued to act, appearing in Ingmar Bergman's film Fanny and Alexander (1982).
