British dancer and choreographer. She studied at St Martins School of Art and Design then trained at the Laban Centre, graduating in 1984. She formed the all-female group the Cholmondeleys, choreographing its repertory. Her distinctive style married tiny, obsessive gestures with rhythmic group moves in works like Baby Baby Baby (mus. Nina Simone, 1985), Flesh and Blood (mus. Steve Blake, 1989), and Cold Sweat (mus. Steve Blake and Drosten Madden, 1990). In 1988 she founded the all-male group the Featherstonehaughs for which she created Go Las Vegas (mus. Blake, 1995), among others, and the two groups have joined to perform several productions including Flag (mus. Blake and Madden, 1988), and Yippeee!!! (mus. Blake 2006). She has made several works for television and choreographed Sam Mendes's production of Cabaret in 1995.
