angle of reflection

Quick Reference

For colliding bodies, the angle that the direction of velocity makes with the perpendicular to the surface at the point of impact. When applied to the behaviour of a ball, the angle formed by the direction in which the ball is travelling after impact with a surface, and the line perpendicular to that surface at the point of impact. The angle of reflection is equal to the angle of incidence.
