For colliding bodies, the angle that the direction of velocity makes with the perpendicular to the surface at the point of impact. When applied to the behaviour of a ball, the angle formed by the direction in which the ball is travelling after impact with a surface, and the line perpendicular to that surface at the point of impact. The angle of reflection is equal to the angle of incidence.
