Quick Reference

Peter Annet was born in Liverpool and died on 18 January 1769 in London. We have few details of his life, but it is known that he was at one time a schoolmaster. Ella Twynam argued that he was trained as a dissenting minister and gave up his ministry following his rejection of revealed religion. He signed Judging for Ourselves (1739) as ‘P.A., Minister of the Gospel’, so there is some evidence for this.
