A series of 85 canons attributed to the Apostles; they form the concluding chapter of the ‘Apostolic Constitutions’. They mostly deal with the responsibilities and moral conduct of the clergy. The first 50 were translated into Latin by Dionysius Exiguus and so became part of the canon law of the W. Church.
