Any of several meteor showers that are active from Aquarius during July and August, principally the Delta Aquarids and Iota Aquarids. Meteors emanating from this part of the sky that cannot be identified with a specific radiant are simply termed ‘Aquarids’ to distinguish them from sporadic meteors.
