(1723–1791), antiquarian and author of Monasticum Hibernicum (1786), a survey of Irish ecclesiastical ruins. Born in Dublin and educated at TCD, Archdall served as chaplain to the Bishop of Ossory and held several livings before finally becoming rector of Slane, Co. Meath.
