In Rom. 16: 10 St Paul sent greetings to the ‘household of Aristobulus’. According to a Spanish legend he became Bp. of Britonia (modern Mondoñedo) in Spain. Feast day, 30 or 31 Oct. He has sometimes been identified with the Aristobulus who, according to the Greek menologies, was one of the seventy disciples (Lk. 10: 1), a brother of St Barnabas and father-in-law of St Peter. Feast day, 15 or 16 Mar.
