Quick Reference

The sequence of tightly scheduled events from the assembly of a spacecraft until its launch. NASA assembles a spacecraft in a clean room, and tests it with computer programs, including one that simulates launch vibrations. The spacecraft is then transported to the launch site for additional tests, connected to the rocket's upper stage, and placed atop the launch vehicle. The ATLO ends with the countdown and launch.
