assessment plan

Show Summary Details

Quick Reference

A scheme, grid, or other format which sets out clearly how and where each learning objective is covered by the tasks or questions in a test, examination, assignment, or other means of assessment, and the relative weighting given to each in the calculation of a final mark, score, or assessment decision. It should demonstrate that specified outcomes are assessed appropriately, validly, and reliably, and in a sequence compatible with the sequence of teaching. Such grids are required as a matter of course for public examinations such as the General Certificate of Secondary Education; but individual teachers may also draw up assessment grids for their own use when setting homework or carrying out assessment in the classroom.

Subjects: Education.
