A large extravehicular activity unit created for Gemini project astronauts, with control arms on either side for steering. Extra layers were added to the legs of the Gemini spacesuit to protect the astronaut from the firing of the hydrogen peroxide thrusters. The AMU flew on Gemini 9, but was never operated.
