(1743–1818), playwright. Born in Dublin and educated at TCD, he wrote dramatic comedies and comic operas such as Mutual Deception (1785), Match for a Widow (1788), and Love in a Blaze (1800) which were produced successfully with music by Charles Dibdin and Sir John Stevenson.
