Australian dancer and director. He studied with several teachers including Borovansky, Preobrajenska, and Idzikowski and made his debut with the Borovansky Ballet in 1951. Between 1952 and 1953 he performed in musicals and revues in London, after which he was soloist with Borovansky Ballet (1954–8). Between 1960 and 1964 he danced with Ballet of Two Worlds and Festival Ballet, and was also artistic director of the latter company (1962–4). He was then appointed ballet master of the Gulbenkian Ballet (1965–7), after which he worked with the Royal Ballet touring company (1971–81) as assistant to the directors and as co-manager. In 1981 he moved to Sadler's Wells Royal Ballet as assistant director and character artist. He continued to work as occasional producer.
