Adelaide-based modern dance company founded in 1965 by Elizabeth Dalman. Under the direction of Jonathan Taylor it was reorganized in 1977 to serve both Victoria and S. Australia. Its repertoire included works by Taylor and Norman Morrice. Leigh Warren took over as artistic director in 1985 and was succeeded by Meryl Tankard (1993–9), and by Garry Stewart from 2000, whose works for the company include Birdbrain (2000), The Age of Unbeauty (2002), and G (2008), a modern critique of Giselle.
