Ballet company based in Venezuela, founded in 1975 by the Fundación Pro-Artes Coreograficas. It was directed by Vicente Nebrada, who was also resident choreographer, with Zhandra Rodriguez its principal ballerina. In 1980 the company split and Nebrada formed the Ballet Nacional de Caracas (initially known as Ballet Fundación Teresa Carreño) and Rodriguez founded the Ballet Nuevo Mundo de Caracas with Dale Talley.
