ball leaping

Quick Reference

An activity, more novelty item than sport, in which the individual leaps from one big ball to another. It calls for physical dexterity but also much luck, as the position of the ball is highly unpredictable. Ball leaping has a knockabout, carnival flavour to it, more in common with the challenges of events at pre-modern fairs and festivals than the conventions of organized modern sport.

Subjects: Sport and Leisure.
