A system in which a buyer must pay a price for a product inclusive of freight costs that does not depend on the location of the seller. In this system, the final retail price can be the same nationally, calculated on the cost of manufacturing and packaging, but including a variable cost of transportation from storage point to retail outlet, to insure uniformity of price at point of sale.
