A people of southern Ireland in pre-Christian times, perhaps a remnant of the tribe called the Coriondi by Ptolemy (2nd cent. ad). Although settled in what is now Wexford, a portion of these people migrated to what is now south-west Cork and gave their name to the Barony and Bay of Bantry.
