Quick Reference

EC; other names: O‐glycosyl‐oligosaccharide‐glycoprotein; N‐acetylglucosaminyltransferase I; β6N‐acetylglucosaminyltransferase; core debranching enzyme; an enzyme that catalyses the reaction between UDP‐N‐acetyl‐d‐glucosamine and β‐d‐galactosyl‐1,3‐N‐acetyl‐d‐galactosaminyl‐R to form β‐d‐galactosyl‐1,3‐(N‐acetyl‐β‐d‐glucosaminyl‐1,6)‐N‐acetyl‐d‐galactosaminyl‐R with release of UDP. It introduces branches into O‐linked glycoprotein oligosaccharides.
