A bhaji (or bhajia) is an Indian vegetable fritter, eaten as a snack. One could have, for instance, aubergine bhajis, potato-skin bhajis, or (most commonly in Briticized Indian cuisine) onion bhajis. Hindi bhaji means literally ‘vegetable’.
