bisphenol A-diglycidylether methacrylate

Quick Reference

A large molecule methacrylate monomer used in resin composite material. It produces a viscous sticky resin which aids the flow of the material and reduces shrinkage. Contact dermatitis caused by residual bis-GMA monomer in resin composite restorations has been reported. See also TEGDMA (tri-ethyleneglycol dimethacrylate).
