A 19th-cent. name for the ‘Declaration on Kneeling’ printed at the end of the Holy Communion Service in the BCP. It was inserted in the Book of 1552 without Parliamentary authority. When rubrics came to be printed in red, the fact that the ‘Declaration’ was not a rubric was indicated by printing it in black.
