Quick Reference

Most probably educated at Merchant Taylors’ School, he was apprenticed to Ponsonby 1578–88. Blount's career was notable for his ability to identify literary classics such as the Shakespeare First Folio (which he published), a skill possibly attributable to his schooling under the humanist Richard Mulcaster.
