Symbol B0. A meson that consists of a down quark and an anti-bottom quark. It is electrically neutral, has spin zero, and a mass of 5.279 GeV. The antiparticle consists of a bottom quark and an anti-down quark. It is hoped that study of the decays of B-mesons will shed light on the problem of CP violation (see CP invariance).
