Bogue's publishing and bookselling business, which he acquired from Charles Tilt in 1843, specialized in issuing children's literature and inexpensive reprints of classic titles (the European Library). He was also the principal publisher of Cruikshank’s illustrated works. Bogue's imprint died with him.
