Decorative glassware produced by a group of factories in Bohemia. The earliest was founded in the 15th century and by the 17th they were creating many finely engraved pieces. The industry was revived in the early 19th century and produced large quantities of glass in brilliant colours, such as ruby and amber, often elaborately engraved with hunting scenes.
