In statistics, a graph representing the distribution of a variable, showing a box to represent the interquartile range, with a mark inside it representing the median, and from each end of the box a line (whisker) extending as far as the smallest and largest scores (see illustration). Also called a box plot or boxplot. See also five-number summary. Compare error bar.
