(b Balatonfűzfő, 11 Aug. 1939; d Budapest, 14 Sept. 1999). Hungarian composer. He studied at the Budapest Academy of Music with Ferenc Farkas, and from 1963 to 1966 worked for Hungarian Radio. His music combines modernist and folk influences, and shows a particular sensitivity to timbre; he wrote several times for the zither, an instrument he himself played.
