Brahmāṇḍa Purāṇa

Show Summary Details

Quick Reference

Classified as one of the 18 ‘great Purāṇas’ in the rājasa group, i.e. those said (somewhat artificially) to relate to Brahmā, it may have been derived from the Vāyu Purāṇa, and is essentially a collection of bhakti hymns. The Adhyātma Rāmāyaṇa is, in theory, attached to it, as is the Lalitāsahasranāma.

Subjects: Hinduism.
