One-act modern dance, with choreography by Russell Maliphant, music by Barry Adamson, and lighting design by Michael Hulls. It was premiered on 9 Dec. 2003 at the Royal Opera House, with Sylvie Guillem, Michael Nunn, and William Trevitt all performing as guest artists with the Royal Ballet. A trio marked by fluid lifts and plunging falls, it represented a major step in Guillem's career away from classical and towards modern dance and also initiated her subsequent creative and performing partnership with Maliphant. The work additionally deepened Nunn and Trevitt's alliance with Maliphant, first seen in their performance of the latter's Critical Mass with their own company, George Piper Dances. It won an Olivier Award.
