(1852–1942). Belgian architect. He worked for a time with Beyaert, and then concentrated on designing houses for middle-class clients, larger houses for the rich, industrial buildings, and exhibitions. His finest work is the Hôtel Hannon, Rue de la Jonction, Brussels (1902), in the Art Nouveau style. He ran the influential architectural journal L'Emulation (1885–90).
