The automatic process by which the accuracy of an evidential breath testing device is proved. A reading outside the range of 32–37μg/100ml in either of the two simulator checks will invalidate the procedure. In such circumstances, the evidence of any readings obtained from the person under test is inadmissible and should not be led.
