Quick Reference
Cantucci are small almond biscuits which in Tuscany form the traditional accompaniment to vin santo: you dunk them into the wine before eating them. The word cantucci (singular cantuccio) is a diminutive form of Italian canto, which means literally ‘corner’, but is also used metaphorically for ‘bit (of bread)’, ‘crust’ and ‘rusk’.
