A meteor shower active between July 5 and August 20. The shower is generally quite weak (maximum ZHR 5), with possible maxima on July 8, July 15, and July 26. The radiant on July 15 lies at RA 21 h 00 m, dec. −15°. Capricornid meteors are slow, yellowish, and sometimes bright. They are not recognized as a genuine shower by some authorities.
