car park

Show Summary Details

Quick Reference

An area designed for or set aside for the parking of motor vehicles. For the purposes of the Road Traffic Acts, a car park is not a road, per se: the fact that the public has access to it does not of itself make such a place a road. Although a car park may be a ‘public place’ for the purposes of the Acts, that is a question of fact in every case.
