Fr. violinist. Gave recitals with his nephew Robert Casadesus. Founding member Société Nouvelles des Instruments Anciens (1920–40) which revived old str. instrs. In Paris 1931, he perf. the Adelaide Concerto, said to have been comp. by Mozart when he was 10 and dedicated to Adelaïde, daughter of Louis XV. In 1977 Casadesus admitted he had composed it.
