A number of British universities, e.g. East Anglia, Keele, Lancaster, and Nottingham, have centres which offer lectures, seminars, research classes, and postgraduate study on the region which they serve. The University of Edinburgh has a School of Scottish Studies, and the University of Strathclyde has a Research Centre in Scottish History.
