French Gothic architect, who designed the transept façades at Sens (c.1494) and Beauvais (c.1499) Cathedrals, and the west front of Troyes Cathedral (c.1506). His work consisted of elaborately decorated screens, and the first signs of Italian Renaissance influence appear in his designs after 1510. His son, Pierre (d. 1544), was associated with his father at Troyes and Beauvais, worked on the old Hôtel de Ville, Paris (1533–4), and built the Château at St-Germain-en-Laye from 1539.
