Is the name of a new union confederation in the United States, whose members have broken away from the American Federation of Labor-Congress of Industrial Organizations (AFL-CIO). Its creation represents a major split in the US trade union movement the full implications of which remain to be seen. The key figure behind the creation of Change to Win is Andy Stern, the charismatic leader of the Service Employees' International Union. The latter has prioritized ambitious union organizing activity (see Justice-for-Janitors) and the new confederation is committed to promoting union organizing amongst its member trade unions.
