Quick Reference

A computerized data base of information about chemical substances maintained by the National Library of Medicine until 1998 when it, and TOXLINE, a similar data base of toxic substances, were merged with MEDLINE. The information previously available in these two data bases was subject to royalty payments by the National Library of Medicine, whereas MEDLINE and web search engines such as Google are just as informative and are free.
