A Chinese three-stage rocket, evolved from the military's DF-3 intermediate-range ballistic missile. CZ-1, which was 30 m long, launched China's first satellite, China 1, in April 1970. The CZ-4B version, which launched the Zi Yuan 2 remote-sensing satellite in September 2000, was 45.8 m long.
